There is a very high risk of wildfire in this area for Thursday, 23 April.

Wildfires have the potential to destroy property, landscapes and wildlife. All it takes is one spark to spread, causing a large amount of damage.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a 'harmless' fire.

🚒 ON-CALL FIREFIGHTERS WANTED 🚒

NEW Cumnock Fire Station has a great track record of developing On Call Firefighter that have seen many of them being successful in joining Scottish Fire and Rescue on a whole time basis.

Whether this is your dream job or you just wanting to give something back to your community this is an ideal time to join the unit.

With new contract changes, it’s never been easier to get involved.

Recent changes to the levels of commitment allow for greater flexibility. Rather than previously offering either 120 hours per week or 90 hours per week. A leveled scale of hours offered is now reflected in pay. For the right candidate these levels of commitment can be as low as 31 hours per week.

Last nights training involved Hazmat procedures with Gas tight suits,how to put it on with breathing apparatus and take it off properly within decontamination procedures …also why we would use these suits in real time Incidents.
