It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Peter Henderson, the founder and Managing Director of Fireguard Services on the 18th October 2023 after a short and aggressive battle with cancer. Whilst we will continue to operate please be patient with us during these difficult times.
Peter's funeral will take place on Monday 20th of November at 12:30 at Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground Followed by a celebration of his life at The Barn, New Milton.

It always scares me running washing machines and dishwashers over night or when going out. Best not to do it just incase!

It’s Electrical Fire Safety Week, so we’re focusing on areas where cutting costs could be a false economy.

It may be tempting to run washing machines, tumble dryers or dishwashers overnight, when the energy price is low. However, this carries a risk as everyone will be asleep should a fire start. Make sure you have working smoke detectors, and try to only use these appliances when someone is awake to raise the alarm if need be.

Fire doors are very important and if fitted correctly and maintained properly they can contain a fire and help save lives

It’s Fire Door Safety Week, so we want to remind business owners, employers and managers of workplaces about how essential fire doors are.

Effective fire doors will ensure that occupants can escape safely in the event of a fire, and prevent it from spreading to other areas of the building.

Employers have legal obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 to provide fire doors, where necessary, ensuring that they work correctly and are maintained properly.
