Dry Doddington Village Hall

Dry Doddington Village Hall Dry Doddington Village Hall for use by the community and out laying districts for events and activity

Dry Doddington Village Hall is charity run by committee members - Peter Stenton-Guest, Chair; Lynne Stenton-Guest; Rachel Pygott; Rob Pygott; Dan Smith; Rebecca Lett. Dry Doddinton is a beautiful, quaint village, steeped in history, the village hall is part of ‘The Triangle’ with the other two vertices being:

The Wheatsheaf Inn (www.thewheatsheafinndrydoddington.com), with real ales a good selec

tion of wines and spirits, pub food classics, lovely log fire, beer garden and children's play area, plus they’re dog friendly! St James Church - a beautiful and very interesting church, it actually leans more than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy - 3.97 degrees vs 5.1 degrees!! It is a Grade II listed building dating from the 12th century, with an early 14th-century tower and is very quaint and loved by the village. The committee are 100% focused on repairing and ensuring the hall is safe and comfortable. We also thank everyone that supports the hall and has played a part in making it what it is, an important community hub of Dry Doddington.

❗️Public Notice

RAF Waddington and RAF Cranwell will be supporting Exercise COBRA WARRIOR over the coming weeks, one of the RAF's largest multinational training exercises.

During this period, residents may notice increased aircraft activity and higher noise levels across the local area.

This vital training helps ensure UK and allied personnel are prepared to operate together effectively on future operations

We recognise the impact this may have and greatly appreciate the continued patience, understanding and support of our neighbouring communities.

🌤️🌡️ Due to the hot weather, from Wednesday morning we will be introducing earlier bin collections for the rest of this week to help protect the welfare of our crews while they are working outdoors.

Your bins may be emptied earlier than you would normally expect so please put them out the night before your usual collection day to avoid missing a collection.

This temporary change will help our teams work more safely during the hottest parts of the day.

Thank you for your understanding and support ♻️
