Newark on Trent is twinned with three towns, Emmendingen in Germany, St. Cyr sur Loire in France and Sandomierz in Poland.

🎶🎶🎶It has finally arrived!
Newark Festival starts today 🎼🎼🎼

The music starts at 11am today, finishing with the Barss Explosion on Monday afternoon.

🖋The three day event commences at 10 am, with the historic signing of the Twinning and Friendship Charters.

🛍We also have our popular Saturday General market, bringing together a great array of friendly local traders sell great products.

🖼In the Buttermarket, we have two new exhibitions that have toured the world. One is regarding the amazing work of Irena Sendler, and the other explores the lives of people following WWII. This exhibition was shown recently in the UN.

With so much to see, buy, eat and see, the Market Place is the place to be this Bank Holiday weekend.
