He hasn't resigned, he's been forced to leave because he's disgusting and illegal - aside from common decent behaviour as a civilian, he has a councillors bill of decent behaviour, and this isn't it.
Leaders in power just cannot abuse constituents, and it's a trend which hasn't been punished strongly enough.
When I was a Newark Town Councillor, there's was some misogygy - Cllr Foster behaved publicly misogynyistically towards me in a meeting, in order to try to minimise my voice and stop me and others from voting against him, in a manner unbecoming of a counsellor, according to our charter of behaviour - I made a complaint about him, and he was forced to apologise verbally and formally in writing. A little political jostling and positioning is one thing, misogyny and racism is quite another. The complaint fixed his behaviour, because afterwards, accordingly sheepish, civil and polite
This needs to happen more to politicians and people in authority, who are unable to control, convey and conduct themselves in a reasonable manner. It's one thing to have an opposing opinion, it's quite another to use abusive language and behaviour towards your constituents and others
