PANG VALLEY WINTERBOURNE RESTORATION – COMMUNITY DROP-IN by Project Groundwater

We're bringing back a winterbourne, a seasonal chalk stream, between East Ilsley and Compton, where high groundwater
backs up across the valley and washes sediment into the River Pang. Before work starts this summer, come and see what's
planned and meet the team.

You’ll be able to:
See the detailed designs and maps of where the work will go
Talk to the project team about what's planned and why
Hear from Cardiff University about the data gathered in the valley
Ask about construction, timing or anything else
Tell us what you'd like on the information board that will go up after the works

Open to all local residents.
No booking needed – just drop by.

Information from Project Groundwater:

Project Groundwater is delighted to announce that funding has been secured to deliver additional Property Flood Resilience (PFR) surveys across our 9 pilot communities.

Like before, this opportunity is open to residential properties, as well as schools and businesses located within the pilot areas. To be eligible, your property must be within one of the 9 pilot community areas, and you must either own the property or have permission from the property owner for the survey to take place. The report produced must be shared with the property owner.

Surveys will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can check if your property is located within one of our 9 pilot communities here.

Eligible properties will receive a bespoke PFR survey and report for their property, fully funded by Project Groundwater at no cost to you.

Unfortunately, the project is unable to provide any additional funding for the recommended installation of measures. However, property owners may choose to fund these works privately and share the survey report with their chosen contractor to support installation decisions.
