The auditor confirmed that Sections 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance & Accountability Return meet Proper Practices and raised no matters of concern.

Vacancy on Compton Parish Council

A casual vacancy has arisen on Compton Parish Council following the resignation of a councillor.

If ten electors from the parish write to the Returning Officer within 14 days of the notice date to request an election, a by‑election will be held.

If no request for an election is received, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co‑option.

Visit your local library and start the challenge for FREE. Read 6 library books from 1 July to 15 September and collect some brilliant rewards along the way. Everyone
who completes the challenge will receive a Read to the Beat medal and certificate.
