Baxter Site – Updated Plans Now Out for Consultation

The Parish Council has been made aware that significant changes have been made to the design of the planning application for the Baxter site. West Berkshire Council is now consulting on these amended plans.

Residents can view the updated documents and submit comments directly through the planning portal.

Compton Parish Council has responded to West Berkshire’s parking consultation. We’ve supported the proposed safety improvements at Burrell Road/Shepherds Mount and south of Fairfield, and highlighted wider parking pressures around the school.

West Berkshire Council is consulting on proposed changes to parking restrictions across the district, including new No Waiting at Any Time restrictions in Compton.

The plans include extending restrictions on the road south of Fairfield and adding new No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on Burrell Road, School Road and Shepherds Mount.

We have now received confirmation that the closure times will be as follows:
09:00-14:30 on School days
08:00-18:00 on weekdays during October half-term (26th-30th October)
09:00-16:00 at weekends.

There will be a road closure on Aldworth Road from 12th October - 6th November, between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, due to work by Thames Water's contractors to carry out sewer lining and sealing works.
