I'll be taking my Road Safety Plans Bill to Parliament later today.

The Bill would require every local authority to step up and provide a tailored road safety plan for every school in their area.

No parent, child, teacher or resident should feel unsafe on the school run.

I was delighted to officially open the Heighley Castle Play Area at the Madeley Centre, alongside local Borough and Parish councillors and the Mayor of Newcastle-under-Lyme earlier today.

Though the liquid sunshine was out in force for the opening, it's amazing that children and their families in Madeley will now have access to this wonderful new facility to enjoy for many years to come - especially once the sunshine returns!

Many thanks to all those involved and to Madeley Parish Council for their continued commitment to the community.

We all deserve to live in communities that are safe, secure and clean – with access to good and reliable services, shops you want to visit and a thriving local high street, as well as a chance to embrace the arts, culture and all other opportunities to socialise. In Newcastle-under-Lyme, we know m...

It was great to welcome residents from across Clayton and the Westlands to my coffee morning at Our Lady & St Werburgh's Church Hall last week.

Thank you to everyone who came along to raise issues, share their views, and enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake.
