DEAFvibe was established in 2009. Deafness = Equality & Access = Fairness

Why DEAFvibe?
โ€œDEAFโ€ includes those who are Deaf, Deafblind, Deafened and Hard of Hearing.

โ€œVIBEโ€ reflects what having a hearing loss means:
Feeling sound through vibration
Picking up on vibes through visual cues
Sharing experiences of what it is like to be deaf

clusive by Everyone. The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) was presented to DEAFvibe in 2014, recognising their exceptional contributions to the community. DEAFvibe Hub includes:
-Coffee Mornings: Presentations and guest speakers, Workshops, Activities
-Telephone and Translation Service
-Fundraising activities; Raffle, Bingo, Refreshments and Cakes

BSL at The Big Feast - Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre (Hanley).
Friday 12pm-5pm, Saturday 11am-5pm.

"We want everyone to be able to access and enjoy the festival. Our interpreters are Francesca Dixon-Grant on Friday and Steve Bostock on Saturday. A couple of shows have integrated BSL where the performers will be using BSL. For shows that include speech, BSL will be provided for at least one of the performances. Plan your visit now!
