Take a look at our new butterfly wall 🦋

Created by our Smear Lead Nurse, Abbie, this display highlights the importance of cervical screening and encourages women and all those with a cervix to attend their smear appointments.

Each butterfly represents someone who has recently attended their smear test with us. It's a powerful reminder that screening matters and that early detection saves lives.

We offer both walk-in and appointment smear tests at The One to One (North Tyneside Hospital, Ward 9) and Blyth Health Centre. To book an appointment or find out more, please contact 0344 728 0554.

Children vaccinated at age 12–13 against HPV (human papillomavirus) have close to zero risk of dying from cervical cancer before the age of 30, new research has revealed.

We recently went behind the scenes with our school aged immunisation team, spending the day with them as they vaccinated Year 8 students against HPV.
