Upcoming Events at Mill Common Woodland ·
Sunday 17th May – Bird Walk
Join a local ornithologist for a guided walk around the site, where we will identify birds in the area.
Time: 9:30am (approx. 1 hour)
Please bring binoculars if you have them.
· Wednesday 27th May – Tree Walk
A walk with a local tree expert, exploring the different tree species on site and their contribution to the local ecology.
Time: 7:00pm
· Saturday 30th May – Monthly Litter Pick
Help us continue improving the woodland environment. So far, we’ve collected over 20 bags of litter, making a real difference for both wildlife and visitors.
Time: 9:30am (approx. 1 hour)
· Wednesday 3rd June – Green Woodworking Workshop (Spatulas)
Learn to create spatulas using wood from the woodland.
Time: 4:00pm
Limited to 8 places – booking required.
· Saturday 6th June – All-Day Green Woodworking Workshop (Stool Making)
Create a stool to take home and show to friends and family.
Time: 9:00am (all day)
Limited to 8 places – booking required.
· Thursday 11th June – Green Woodworking Workshop (Spoons)
Another hands-on session making spoons from woodland materials.
Time: 4:00pm or 4:30pm
Limited to 8 places – booking required.
· Saturday 13th June – Pollinator Safari
Explore the site and learn about pollinators, with sessions in the morning and afternoon. Each session will last approximately 2 hours.
No booking required. Timings to be confirmed.
· Saturday 27th June – Special Event
Please save the date! Further details will follow, but it promises to be a fun and engaging day celebrating the woodland.
