Thank you to all the people of Mountjoy & Shide ward who voted for me in the election. Sadly, after five years, my time as your Isle of Wight Councillor has come to a close. It has been a privilege and an honour to serve you all.

I am now looking forward to getting a bit of time back with my family.

We are recruiting: We are looking for two Community & Event Fundraisers to run our fundraising events and community talks. It is a busy and fun role as part of the charity team.
It involves working weekends and some evenings as we attend fetes, fairs and galas throughout the year, particularly in the summer, and give talks to a whole range of groups.
It includes preparation, booking, publicising and sorting fundraising stock. You must be able to lift boxes, drive a Trafic van and put up gazebos.
You will need to be a good communicator - able to talk with our supporters and our encourage our volunteers.

Our friends at Ability Dogs 4 Young People IoW will be hosting one of their fantastic dog shows at 2pm (registration from 12pm). We can't wait to watch it!

The crisis in social care is so bad on the Island that we cannot wait for the Government to get its act together with proposals to solve the problem nationally. We need an Island solution delivered by Government.

St Mary's is discharging vulnerable and frail patients to the mainland because we do not have care capacity on the Island. The situation is inhumane and once again our unique challenges as an island are not recognised.

I have written to the Minister for Care demanding urgent intervention.
