A big thank you to all our volunteers!!

We are incredibly lucky to have a wide range of dedicated volunteers that really add to the Newport Library offer.

Thank you to our Home Library Volunteers who deliver books to people who are unable to get to the library but love reading! Reducing social isolation and delivering pleasure through reading.

Thank you to our Bounce and Rhyme volunteers you bring so much joy to so many families every week. Helping with socialisation, speech and language and a great sense of fun!

Thankyou to our library volunteers diligently shelving, tidying, organising to ensure you can find all the books you need. What would a library be without tidy shelves! They may be hunting for requests and helping you on the self service they add so much to our service.

From all of us at Newport Community Library we want to say thank you and HAPPY VOLUNTEERS WEEK!!

Drop in to speak to the Newport Safer Neighbourhood Team at Newport Library, on Saturday 6th June 2026 from 10am to12pm.
They will be on hand to listen to any concerns and to offer crime prevention advice.
