Medina College applied to WightAID in order to plant and create a school orchard. They already have an agricultural area but hoped to expand into offering vocational education options - such as Horticulture.

WightAID proudly granted £500 to purchase fruit trees which includes eating and cooking Apples, Plums, Pear and Cherries.

Additionally they are looking at opening a school pantry in order to feed the school community and be able to offer fruit/vegetable
hampers and simple home cooked foods that the students will prepare for families.

We can not wait to see how this project continues to grow and establish! 🍏🍐🍒
