Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.

Further information for ticket holders, exhibitors, competitors, members and other stakeholders will be communicated as soon as possible through the Royal Cornwall Show’s official channels.

Walking at Human Pace - a story by Nicole Herridge.

We are so proud to have an amazing team of brilliant staff and volunteers. Each person is on their own unique journey, yet together, they share a common goal to support local people and improve wellbeing across Cornwall.

Nicole, Age UK Cornwall Administrative Assistant at Falmouth Community Hub, set out on her own remarkable journey walking across the three islands of Malta.

This transformative experience motivated her to pen her first blog post on her coach's website - read it in full here.

We are so grateful to have support from over 150 volunteers; bringing their skills, passion, and caring nature to every role.

As we celebrate our Volunteer Coordinator shared this lovely message thanking our brilliant team.

Todays CST session in the Memory Hub was all about Games. We chatted about what games we used to play and enjoy and the ones that we didn't enjoy so much. We got to spend some time playing Pick up sticks, Jenga & Tiddly Winks - who knew the height at which your Tiddly Wink jumped was dependent on the tablecloth thickness! No wonder we couldn't get them in the target. We also had a soft ball session to see if we could reach the net in the middle of the table. To round up the session we tried an A-Z of games, not as easy as you would think. 🤯
