Too beautiful not to share...

There's a name in these trousers
A name in this shirt
A name in this lunch bag
And one in this skirt

There's a name in this cardigan
One in these shoes
One in this jacket
That they're bound to lose

There's a name in this book
And a name on this tie
A name on their lips
As they're waving goodbye

And maybe today
They're a name on a list
But under the name
They are much more than this

'Cause one day you might
See that name from those shoes
Accepting a new Nobel Prize
In the news

One day you might
Need a doctor or nurse
And recognise them
As the name from that shirt

One day you might
Watch a film or a show
And see a name listed
That you used to know

Yes, there is a name
And another and more
A long list of names
That you've not met before

But there is a person
Who wants you to see,
To hear them and recognise
All they can be

There's a name in this uniform
But please don't forget
It's the name of a person
Who isn't grown yet

And there is no limit
To how far they'll aim
As long as they're shown
They are more than a name

*****

For all those labelling school uniform ready for back-to-school (which is happening here tomorrow).

A big massive shout out to one of our past pupils James McLoughli who has landed a role in the ABBA Voyage experience in London! 🎶✨

What an incredible achievement, James. We are so proud to see one of our former pupils following his passion and taking his talent to such an amazing stage.

Everyone here at St. Peter’s Primary School wishes you every success in this exciting new chapter. We hope you have the time of your life and remember, you’ll always be part of the St. Peter’s family! 💙

Go shine, James! 🌟🎤

A Newry actor has said featuring alongside stars such as Peter Andre and Sam Bailey at London’s O2 arena has been “an amazing experience.” James McLoughlin has landed a job as part of the cast in Mamma Mia: The Party, a theatrical dining experience created by Abba’s Björn Ulvaeus.

To say we are very proud, is an understatement! Young Olly who is heading into P3 this September is representing Belfast children's Transplant Team at the Transplant Games in Sheffield.
We at St.Peter's wish him and all his team mates all the very best of luck and enjoy every momemt of this fantastic experience 😀.

Meet the Team 💚🤍

This Thursday, these seven amazing young people will travel to Sheffield to represent the Belfast Children’s Transplant Team at the British Transplant Games.

Each of them has received either an organ or bone marrow transplant and has overcome challenges that most people will never have to face. Now, they’ll be taking on their own sporting events, making memories and celebrating just how far they’ve come.💪

We couldn’t be prouder of every one of them and wish them the very best of luck as the Games get underway on Friday. Enjoy every moment - Northern Ireland will be cheering you on every step of the way. 👏📣

Is your child starting pre-school or primary school this September? 🎒

Summer is the perfect time to help them feel excited and confident about their new adventure!

📖 Read together, talk about pictures, make up stories and chat about feelings – it all helps build confidence, communication, and learning skills.

🌙 A bedtime story is also a great way to create a calming routine before sleep.

It is with great sadness that the St. Peter's Primary School community has learned of the passing of our dear friend and former Board of Governors member, Joe Quigley.
Joe, was a dedicated supporter of St. Peter's, giving generously of their time, wisdom and encouragement over many years. Many a child's shoes and black slippers were got from Joe back in the day.
Joe's commitment to our school and the care he showed for our pupils, staff and wider community will always be remembered with gratitude.
On behalf of Master Tierney & Mrs Sloan, our Board of Governors, staff, pupils and the entire St. Peter's family, we extend our deepest sympathies to Joe's family and friends at this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May St.Peter guide and support you through the difficult days ahead.
