When travelling home a couple of nights ago I suddenly remembered that I had left a small joint of meat out to cook for our evening meal and that as i would not be home for an hour or so we would be having a very late meal! Then inspiration struck and I remembered that I could contact my advanced electrickit Aga by phone and instruct it to turn the oven temperature up from 190 to 220. I was driving and my husband telephoned my cooker with the result that when I got home my oven was ready at 220 and my meat went straight in……I then manually turned temperature down to 210 to cook at correct temperature.(10 degrees reduction to be absorbed by meat on entry). Used my induction hob to rapidly heat the spuds in about 5 mins before placing them into oven to cook. Wonderful Aga to make life easier. First time I have used my ‘Ring my Aga’ and gosh it was useful!
