📣 Applications for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the upcoming academic year are now open!

All parents/carers should be encouraged to apply by the last Friday in July to guarantee that support is in place for 1 September.

If you were in receipt of Free School Meals for 2025/2026 - you still must reapply for 2026/2027.

If you are in receipt of one of the following, you will need to upload a Proof of Benefit letter when applying for Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance for the 2026/27 academic year:

➡️ Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
➡️ Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit

You can request a Proof of Benefit letter online: https://t.co/vhcVyDRoi5 (It will take at least five days to be sent to you)

If you receive Universal Credit, you do not need the Proof of Benefit Letter. However, you will need to upload evidence of your Universal Credit entitlement when you apply.

There will be a Newry Mums Pre-Loved Sale taking place at The Quays, Newry, on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June.

The sale will include a wide range of summer clothes, books, and toys for the school holidays. Newry Mums would also love to include school uniforms, school bags, pencil cases, summer clothing, books, and toys - all heavily discounted to support local families.

For any donated items, 100% of the sales will be donated to Women’s Aid. In addition, sellers are supporting Women’s Aid, with 10% of all sales over the weekend also being donated to the charity.

If you have any uniforms or school items that you would like to donate or sell on behalf of Women’s Aid, they would be very grateful. Their aim is to help as many local families as possible while also supporting an important local charity.

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in achieving our 6th Green Flag for the school.

Well done to all the members of the school and in particular our eco committees for your hard work over the last 2 years and earning this great achievement.

A huge thanks to Mrs Weir for all her amazing work promoting and leading all things eco in Mullaglass.
