St.Patrick's Primary School

St.Patrick's Primary School Welcome to St Patrick's Primary School, Cullyhanna! Here in St. Promote good relationships between pupils and adults. Above all here in St.

We aim to nurture the social, academic, emotional, sporting and spiritual growth of our entire school community in a supportive, inclusive environment. Patrick’s, Cullyhanna we aim to nurture and maximise the full learning potential of each child and foster their spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development.

----------------------------------------------------------------

We aim

to:

Create a happy and caring environment

Help children to learn that courtesy, good manners and consideration for others are very important qualities. Encourage children to be self-disciplined, independent and industrious, to take pride in their achievements, and to be generous in their friendship. Treat each child as an individual regardless of gender, nationality, religion or ability and provide teaching appropriate to his/her needs. Work together closely as a team to provide a quality learning environment for our children. Prepare our pupils for the responsibility and experiences of adult life to enable them to develop as well rounded members of society.
--------------------------------------------------------------

When parents choose St. Patrick’s for their child’s education they are making a commitment to the values implicit in the ethos of our Catholic school. In order for those values to become fully developed in our children, we believe that the strength of partnership between home and school must be paramount. We hope that parents will work to support our school in encouraging the principles of Christianity and humanity, which we feel should govern children’s attitudes to life. Our classrooms reflect an atmosphere, where children are purposefully engaged which promotes excellence, enjoyment, perseverance, self-discipline and independence. We aim to provide a curriculum, which offers a breadth of child centred experiences. We are fortunate to have strong links with our local community and our local church, where we attend and participate in the Liturgy every term. Patrick’s we aim to provide a happy, safe and secure environment where all members of the community are treated with respect.

🌟 Young Enterprise: Business Beginnings Sale Day 2026 🌟

What a fantastic day we had at our Young Enterprise Business Beginnings Sale Day 2026! We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, supported our pupils and helped us raise valuable funds for the school. Your support truly made the day a great success.

This initiative is a real highlight of the year for our Primary 7 pupils. It enriches their final year in school, giving them the opportunity to develop creativity, teamwork, communication and real-life business skills. It is a wonderful cross-curricular learning experience that brings so many aspects of their education together in a fun and meaningful way.

A very special thank you to Elaine Finnegan for once again facilitating the project. Her dedication, encouragement, and expertise made the experience so enjoyable and rewarding for our pupils—she was absolutely fantastic!

Well done to all of our P7s for their hard work, enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit. We are so proud of you all! 👏💼✨

P7 Young Enterprise Sale Day – Tomorrow!

We are excited to remind everyone that the P7 Young Enterprise: Business Beginnings Sale Day takes place this Friday!

Our pupils have worked incredibly hard over the past few months to plan and create their products, and we are so proud of their efforts. 👏

We kindly ask all children, parents, and families to come along and support them. All money raised will go back into the school and be used to benefit the children, so your generosity really makes a difference.

✅ It will be a non-uniform day
💰 Any money brought in can be used at the sale

Please come along, show your support, and give generously if you can. Thank you! 😊

Two good local events to choose from this Friday for any pupils interested! 🎨 💃🏻 🕺🏻

Congratulations to all of our First Communicants on receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time. The children, fabulously prepared by Mrs Murphy and the P4 Team, carried themselves with such reverence throughout the ceremony and were a credit to themselves and our school. Maith sibh, a bhuachaillí agus a chailíní.

We extend a huge thank you to Friends of Cullyhanna School for, once again, going above and beyond to organise a fantastic reception back in the school after the service. This tradition really adds to the occasion and is greatly appreciated. Go raibh maith agat.

We would like to extend a sincere thanks to St Patrick's GAA Cullyhanna - Naomh Pádraig for their generous donation of two bags of new footballs to support our Gaelic football programme. 🏐💙

Their continued support, along with their willingness to make their facilities available to us, is truly invaluable to our school community.
Pictured is student teacher and St Pat’s senior footballer, Jamie Quinn, presenting footballs to some of our P7 pupils.

Go raibh maith agaibh! 👏
