Can you help us share the books everyone wants to read this month? 📚

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

Thank you so much for your support! 💚

Our 10 most popular titles this month are:

1. The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth Strout
2. Land by Maggie O'Farrell
3. Ironwood by Michael Connelly
4. Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke
5. The Midnight Train by Matt Haig
6. Whistler by Ann Patchett
7. The Names by Florence Knapp
8. The Final Target by Nora Roberts
9. London Falling by Patrick Radden Keefe
10. Enough by Dawn French

Our next Death Cafe is on Wednesday 3rd June, 10:30am-12pm.

For those wondering what a Death Cafe is, it's a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes - part of a worldwide movement towards more open conversation about death. It's a drop-in session so do come along and contribute as much or as little as you like.

⭐ Please note, this is not a bereavement or grief cafe ⭐

Spaces still available on our FREE family News Detective Workshop next Thursday! 🕵️‍♀️

How do we help children navigate the news in a world full of dis-information and mis-information?

Libraries Unlimited is partnered with The Guardian Foundation to deliver free NewsWise workshops for families across Devon and Torbay. Designed for children aged 7–11 and their grown-ups, these sessions help families explore the news together, build critical thinking skills and reduce the risk of online harm.

📅 Sessions are FREE to attend, our next workshop is Thursday 28th May!
