Help shape Devon’s construction workforce of the future.
Devon & Somerset Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) and Devon Chamber are calling on construction organisations across Devon to complete a short online survey to help gain a better understanding of the skills and training required regionally.
Your insights will help to develop a post-16 technical education system that meets the needs of employers.

We recently welcomed Iain Allars as a Registered Building Inspector to our team.

Before his career started in Building Control Iain achieved an honours degree in Building Surveying from the University of Greenwich. Iain is a Chartered Building Engineer with CABE and is a Registered Class 2 (A-F) Building Inspector.

Outside of work Iain has a number of varied interests and hobbies. These include the great outdoors, he's an avid reader particularly subjects including travelling, social and military history and also music and photography.

On Friday we celebrated 20 years of the Devon Building Control Partnership. We had staff and councillors past and present in attendance and it was a lovely time to look back and catch up with one another! 🥳
