Two Moors Way

Directions Website

Two Moors Way Two National Parks, two coasts and over 100 miles of breathtaking countryside. The Two Moors Way is an 'off the beaten track' route across Devon.

The Two Moors Way was officially opened on 29th May 1976: more than 100 miles of wonderful walking from Ivybridge on the southern edge of Dartmoor to Lynmouth on the North Devon coast. Follow this 'off the beaten track' route of 102 miles across the south-west peninsula, crossing two spectacular National Parks - Dartmoor and Exmoor - via the rural heart of Devon and part of western Somerset. In 2004 the TMW was joined to the Erme-Plym Trail to Wembury on the south Devon coast to create a full coast-to-coast route of 117 miles.

I am delighted to be able to report that the Two Moors Way 50th Anniversary Campaign has won the 2026 Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild Members Award! Those of you who have followed the campaign throughout this year will know how hard the TMW Association has worked in putting on a run of celebratory events, and adding TMW anniversary merchandise to the website store. Everything we do helps to promote this fabulous walking route, and the businesses who support us by advertising on our website. Please help us by sharing this post far and wide!

Very chuffed that my Two Moors Way badge arrived in the post.

Glad to have finished the path this year, as it was the 50th anniversary, meaning I could get this shiny badge.

Goes nicely with the cloth badge I got in Lynmouth on the last day. Also glad to report the guide book survived being soaked on Exmoor but is now crinkled like an old treasure map!
