🛠️ What do you do with your weekends?

Members of 102 Battalion REME spent the Bank Holiday weekend supporting the annual Armour in the Dales event at Catterick Garrison.

As military vehicle enthusiasts put historic and modern armoured vehicles through their paces on the challenging off-road ranges, Reservists from 102 REME provided essential repair and recovery support. Using specialist recovery vehicles and their technical expertise, our team kept vehicles moving and the event running safely.

It was a great opportunity to put trade skills into practice, work alongside friends and support an event that raises vital funds for charities including Scotty’s Little Soldiers and the Army Benevolent Fund.

🛠️ Training Recap – February ⛷️

Members of 102 Battalion took to the slopes this February, with a range of opportunities to experience and develop their winter sports skills.

A team attended the REME Annual Ski Camp, where they honed their downhill racing abilities and went on to compete in the Army Ski Championships.

For those seeking a more relaxed introduction to alpine sport, the Battalion Ski Camp offered soldiers of all experience levels the chance to hit the slopes in The Contamines ski area, France for a week of alpine skiing, building skill, confidence and enjoying the mountain environment.

🛠️ Training Year Recap- January 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our Open Evening in January! It was a great night filled with valuable insights, and it was fantastic to see so many people leave feeling motivated and excited about the opportunities a career in the Army Reserve can offer.

🙌 Training year Recap - December 🛠️

102 REME marked St Eligius at Otterburn Training Camp with a weekend packed full of cohesion, engineering challenges and plenty of fun.

A round-robin of hands-on engineering stands tested teamwork, leadership and problem-solving across the Battalion, showcasing the skill and adaptability of our people.

The weekend concluded with our Battalion Awards Ceremony, recognising excellence across the Corps and celebrating the achievements of our soldiers.

🛠️ Training year Recap- November 🙌

A team deployed to Kenya on Exercise HARAKA STORM, supporting a major Army training exercise focused on deployment, mobility, and combat readiness.

Whilst they they kept the Land Rover fleet running and providing vital equipment support to ensure the exercise continues without interruption plus enjoyed the local sites including a Safari 🦏💪🛠️

Working overseas brings valuable experience, new challenges, new procedures, and hands-on engineering in demanding condition.

🍂 Training year Recap - Autumn 2025! 💪

Last autumn, our REME Reservists completed their Annual Continuous Training, two weeks of sharpening skills and putting them to the test.

Week one focused on trade training.
Week two took it to the field at Catterick Training Area 🛠️

From forward repairs on the front line to vehicle recovery under pressure, troops worked day and night in a demanding tactical environment. They gained experience and technical excellence whilst providing critical equipment support.

It was great to see teamwork, resilience, and professionalism in action 💪🛠️
