🚔 NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING – WEEKLY UPDATE 🚔
It’s been another busy week for your Neighbourhood Policing Team, with officers carrying out proactive patrols, responding to incidents and supporting colleagues across the county. 👮‍♀️👮‍♂️

🚗 Traffic Management
PCSO 8731 Penman attended a road traffic collision (RTC) and assisted with traffic management, helping to keep the area safe and minimise disruption.

🛍️ Shoplifting
PC 9355 Tyers arrested a shoplifter who was subsequently charged with five offences. 👮‍♂️⚖️

🚨 Arrests
• Sgt 9288 Crawford arrested a male in relation to stalking.
• PC 9607 Douglas arrested a male for common assault, assaulting an emergency worker and breach of a restraining order.
🚔PCSO Bullock conducted patrols to identify youths involved in public order offences in the Town Park.

🏍️ Off-Road Bikes
The team have continued to identify off-road bikes and conduct proactive patrols in an effort to locate and seize vehicles being used unlawfully.

📹 On Saturday, the drone was utilised by PCSO 30632 Barton and PCSO 30792 Rutterford to assist officers in locating and seizing an off-road bike. 🚁🏍️

🏠 Burglary – Newton Aycliffe
On Saturday evening, officers received a report of a forced entry taking place at a property in Newton Aycliffe.

Shortly afterwards, two males were arrested in connection with the incident by PC 9166 Findlay. The males were also arrested for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. 🚔💊

🐦 Report of Harm to Birds
PC 9339 Agar and PC 9690 Knight responded to a report concerning individuals allegedly causing harm to birds.

🔎 If anyone has information that could help us identify those involved, please get in touch with the police.

👮 Supporting Our Colleagues

The team have assisted with a number of scene preservations across the county, as well as supporting Response officers in attending immediate-response incidents. 🤝🚔

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨

Good evening, here’s a brief overview of what we have been up to this week;

🚓 On Monday night, a male was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and assault following an incident at Linden Place.

🔍 Officers responded to a report of a high-risk missing youth. Fortunately, the youth was located fit and well.

🚑 On Tuesday evening, response officers attended a report of a high-risk concern alongside colleagues from the ambulance service. The female was located and taken to hospital.

👩‍⚖️ A prolific shoplifter was arrested by the NPT this week and was subsequently charged with 𝗧𝗘𝗡 shoplifting offences. This female then appeared at Peterlee Magistrates Court on Friday 21st August.

👮 On Friday morning, a male was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including blackmail, affray and wounding with intent.

🚔 On Friday evening, a male was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage following an incident in Marrick Close.

🚨 On Saturday, PCs and PCSOs from the Neighbourhood Team attended the Emergency Services Day in the town centre. We had a great time engaging with our local residents, showing the children the police van and letting them try on our uniform.

❌ Also on Saturday, a male was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

🚨Newton Aycliffe Police Update 🚨

Good evening, here’s a brief overview of what we have been up to this week

👮‍♀️On Tuesday PCSO’s assisted Response and DRAP officers with Road Traffic management at an RTC on the Roundabout at Horndale Lane, thankfully no one was seriously injured.

🚓On Wednesday PC Ryder spoke to 4 local youths regarding their behaviour in relation to a racially aggravated harassment incident.

🚶PCSO’s were on a walkabout with partner agencies from DCC, DAC and street wardens in the west of Aycliffe, in response to complaints of parking and vehicles being dumped in the area.🚗

👮‍♂️NPT officers assisted in OP SPRINGFARM a joint force operation targeting suspects of rural crime, resulting in 2 males being arrested. 🔒

🛒On Wednesday, PCSOs Fotheringham and Harrison attended the local Shopwatch meeting, engaging with our local shopkeepers.

🥫Officers also helped a vulnerable male by safeguarding him and using partner agencies in assisting the male with a food parcel, thank you again to St Claire’s foodbank for there fantastic support to the community. 📦

🚔PC Tyers arrested a male for public order offence 🚨

📝 On Friday PCSO Harrison completed a Herbert protocol for a female living with dementia.

On Saturday officers from Sedgefield and Newton Aycliffe NPT attended Sedgefield show and educate families on the rules and regulations on E-scooters, handed out crime safety equipment, overall a great day and some brilliant engagement with the local community.

🚓 Weekly Neighbourhood Policing Update 🚓

It has been another busy week for the neighbourhood policing team, with officers working hard to keep our community safe.

✅ PC Tyers arrested a male who was wanted for domestic violence offences.

✅ Later the same day, PC Tyers made it a 2-for-1, arresting another male for five shoplifting offences. He was subsequently charged

✅ PC 9166 Findlay arrested a male for two shoplifting offences, who was subsequently charged.

✅ PC 9607 Douglas arrested a youth in connection with two thefts of motor vehicles.

✅ D Relief Response arrested a male on suspicion of theft of vehicle keys.

✅ Traffic officers arrested a male in connection with an affray incident.

🏡 The team carried out visits to a number of vulnerable residents, ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures were put in place to support vulnerable adults.

🚔 Throughout the week, officers also supported response colleagues at a range of emergency incidents across the town.

🎉 The team also supported Shildon Neighbourhood Team at the Shildon Fun for All event, engaging with the community and helping to ensure everyone had a safe and enjoyable day.

👮 On Saturday, officers safely located a vulnerable female and returned her to her home address.

🚗 PCSO 8731 Penman and PCSO 30792 Rutterford attended an incident that resulted in the arrest of a suspected drink driver.

🔪 They also recovered a knife, removing another weapon from our streets and helping to prevent further crime.

🚲 In addition, they located an abandoned Carrera bicycle. If you believe this may belong to you, please get in touch with us.

📍 On Sunday, the team also assisted with the ex*****on of an emergency warrant in another area of the county.

PC 9690 Knight, PC 9339 Agar and PCSO 30792 Rutterford seized an off road bike which had been driving antisocially in the Greenfield area

We are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the male pictured in connection with a number of shoplifting offences in the town.

If you recognise him or have any information that could assist our enquiries, please get in touch, quoting the relevant incident or crime reference number. Any information provided will be treated appropriately.

A man has been charged following a shop theft in Newton Aycliffe.

Robert Henry Allison was arrested on Wednesday following reports that a man had stolen £30 worth of laundry conditioner from Boyes.

The 34-year-old, of Coundon, was charged with one count of theft and is due to appear before Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on September 21.

A167 between Central Avenue & Gretna Green – 0️⃣ vehicles speeding out of 7️⃣1️⃣.
Central Avenue – 1️⃣ vehicle speeding out of 1️⃣4️⃣0️⃣.

🚓 On Wednesday, a male was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and assault, following an incident at Boyes in the town centre.

👮 Response officers on D-Relief responded to a report of a missing child. Fortunately, the youth was located fit and well.

🚔 A male was arrested for being Drunk & Disorderly, following an incident on Greenlee Garth.

👮‍♀️ A male was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a Class-A drug.

🚨 On Friday evening, a male and female were both arrested for various offences, including assault and criminal damage, following a domestic incident.

Officers want to speak to her in connection with a burglary in Broomlee Close, Newton Aycliffe, which is believed to have happened just after 8pm on July 6.
