We have some more exciting footage from our secret trail cameras on the National Nature Reserve here at Gregynog💚💚

Here are two videos, one of a tawny owl and the other of a lovely otter having a bit of a stretch👀

The water levels everywhere are very low at the moment so it’s good to see that although our wildlife must be feeling the effects there is evidence that they are coping😊✨

Once again, we are devastated to announce that there has been further vandalism on the Estate.

This has now been reported to the police, and additional security measures around the Estate have been put in place. If you are on the Estate and see any suspicious activity, please contact the office on 01686 650224.

Gregynog is a charitable trust working hard to restore and preserve this very special place for everyone to enjoy. Every act of vandalism takes valuable time and resources away from that work, setting us back rather than helping us move forward.

We ask everyone to please treat the Estate with the care and respect it deserves.

Thank you, once again, to everyone who continues to support, care for and help protect Gregynog💚

🚗💰Gregynog Car Treasure Hunt 2026💰🚗

What an amazing day we had on Sunday 9th August! We would just like to say a massive thank you to all the people who participated in the event, you helped us raise over £800 for our 'Raise the Roof Fund'😊

Congratulations to all those who won a prize and a massive THANK YOU to all the businesses who donated a prize! We couldn't have done it without you💚

A special thank you to all the staff here at Gregynog who worked really hard on Sunday, making it such a memorable day! They also very kindly volunteered their time on Sunday enabling us to put all money raised into our 'Raise the Roof Fund'🏡

There is also one more person we'd like to thank and that is Ian Harris, he organised the whole event and for that we are very grateful✨

See you again NEXT YEAR👀

As the summer progresses and the Big Butterfly Count comes to an end the volunteers on the Gregynog National Nature Reserve have been busy starting to clear the water soldiers from the pond (an ongoing battle with this particular invasive species) and helping Owen our Estate manager erect the new bird hide courtesy of and 🦤✨

The hide has wheelchair access as well as a separate bench. There will be a notice board so that birders can record species from day to day and notices can be posted on what specie. Over the next few months the treated dying laurel will be removed from the woodland and the ground beneath given a chance to breathe and recover.
Anyone interested in joining our enthusiastic Reserve or Garden volunteers is welcome and can contact our office on 01686 650224 for further details💚
