Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council 16 elected councillors represent the people of Newtown, making decisions at monthly Council meetings There are 735 community and town councils in Wales.

They are the part of local government closest to the people. They have a number of basic responsibilities in making the lives of local communities more comfortable. They:
• deliver services to meet local needs
• represent the community and
• strive to improve quality of life in the community. Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council is one of the largest community and town coun

September. No, we can't quite believe it either but here's where you'll find us this month.

We've been a little quiet on here over the summer. We've been busy behind the scenes preparing for the busy season ahead. 🍫

The warmer months haven't been out favourite when it comes to making chocolates and attending markets in the heat, but, it has given us a chance to refine recipes, develop new creations and begin preparing for an exciting few months for Epicurean Chocolatiers 💙

This September you will find us at some wonderful food festivals and markets across Wales: 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

- Newtown Food Festival on the 5th and 6th
- Ludlow food festival on the 11th, 12th & 13th September
- Mold Food & Drink Festival on the 19th and 20th September
- Porthmadog Craft and Gift Fair on the 26th September

We'll be bringing beautiful selections of our handcrafted chocolates made in small batches with carefully selected ingredients as well as our luxury spreads jams and confections. We can't wait to share them with you! 💝

Also, Christmas is already well underway... 🎄

We've been busy finalising our festive collections and getting our festive products ready. There are lots of exciting things in the works so keep your eyes peeled! 💫👀

ONLY 2️⃣ DAYS TO GO!

We’ve had a few questions about Operation Crumb Busters, so here are the answers…

❓Where do we start?
Find Jo and Lorna at their Beyond Breakout stall on the High Street on Saturday and we’ll get you set up. (On Sunday there will be posters with a QR code for you to scan and get playing)

❓Is it really free?
Yes! Thanks to Newtown Food Festival, the first 100 games are completely free. ( Once 100 games are sold, you can then purchase the game for £36)

❓What do I need?
Mobile phones and a team of 2-6 players.

❓How far is it?
Approximately 6000 steps around Newtown, the route is all on paths so pushchair, wheelchair and dog friendly.

❓How long does it take?
Around 90 minutes, but you can pause the game and take a break, then resume it when you are ready.

❓What’s the game about?
Your mission is to uncover the secret ingredient hidden within Robert Owen’s famous Bara Brith recipe.
