Commission servicing is an important part of getting an extinguisher ready for a client and it seems it’s often overlooked.
Taking it out of the box (having bought it off a well known online auction site, no doubt) and hanging it on the wall doesn’t really cut it.
I’ve spent plenty of hours getting extinguishers ready for a programmed change out in a major manufacturing plant and I have to say , the unboxing is a curse👎😂
Then folding the boxes and packing them into other boxes then disposing off the boxes ….
Especially when you’re having to do big numbers.
But anyway , here’s a picture of about a third of the lovely red bottles I’ve been weighing recently.

Get in touch if you need extinguishers serviced, new extinguishers installed, or advice on what your business needs are to stay compliant 🧯

Fire extinguisher training this morning with the folk at CLdN in Warrenpoint harbour.
The usual discussions about lithium ion batteries raised its head again and it’s always good to chat to folk and ask specifics about whether they’ve used an extinguisher before and what their job roles are etc
All information that allows the training to be tailored to suit the audience, which is something you just can’t get with on-line training.
As always, the noise and short operating time of the 2&5kg extinguishers surprised attendees and a quick blast with the powder just reinforced how messy these extinguishers are, and why they aren’t suitable for indoor use.
A great bunch to work with and a few laughs as well.
Not sure what the mural is about but thought it was worth a pic.

If you need client and risk focussed in house extinguisher training , get in touch.

Getting people to leave a review can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but it’s lovely to get another 5 star review only a few hours after helping a start-up gym get their extinguishers in order.
Thanks for the work if you’re reading this and get in touch if you need your own extinguishers serviced or new ones supplied 🧯

Out this morning for a quick installation into a newly opened barbers in Newtownabbey.
Was happy to chat to the owner and offer advice and a few options regards new units or refurbs to help keep the spend to a reasonable level with a start up business.
Fixed price servicing for the next 2 years also allows a bit of forward planning, no matter how small a bill it might be.
Get in touch if you need extinguishers for a start up , an expanding business or a move of premises 🧯

Great to meet the lovely staff and volunteers at Shankill Parish today in Lurgan to deliver some fire extinguisher training.
Training delivered on site is always tailored for the staff , the location and even as far as bringing along the extinguisher types they have on site to allow them to build familiarity and confidence should they need to use one in anger 🧯
Nice to get a five star review as well, so thanks for that.
If you need extinguisher training, fire warden or general fire safety in the workplace training , get in touch.
If you need a helping hand in a busy period as a facilities management company, give me a call re sub contracting.

It was good to get out and meet two new customers Friday morning of last week.
One local car dealer who had been told their foam MUST be changed immediately but oddly the supplier didn’t mention the actual timelines involved according to the relevant EU legislation.
Annual servicing carried out across several units and EU guidelines provided for peace of mind.
On them to a cafe with a looming inspection and extinguishers last dated as serviced in 2009 by the previous tenant.
If you need extinguisher advice, annual servicing or staff training , get in touch.
