Alliance Party - Strangford

Alliance Party - Strangford Strangford Association of the Alliance Party Alliance was founded in 1970 with the objective of healing the bitter divisions in our community.

To that end:

We're working to build a shared society, without division, free from sectarianism and prejudice and in which everyone - regardless of religion, gender, class, disability, colour, age, sexuality or nationality - are treated with respect and enabled to fulfil their full potential, free from fear. We're working to create a shared society, that takes advantages of its links to Britain, t

o the rest of Ireland, to Europe and to the wider world to generate prosperity and improve the quality of life for everybody - rather than the divided society others promote, in which our diversity is seen as a threat. We're working to build a society in which we don't need to run cap in hand to Westminster to keep our public services working; and one in which we empower business to generate enough wealth from which to fund the services from which we all benefit. We're working to create a sustainable society - in which our beautiful environment is cherished, in which we don't spend money we don't have and in which the rights of individual are not smothered by the demands of the state and big institutions.

Brilliant morning with Glasswater Primary Crossgar and St Joseph's P.S Crossgar celebrating their participation in PlayBoard NI 'Spaces to Be' programme. Play based scheme bringing schools together to promote mental wellbeing and empathy. Was great to see the kids enjoying free play and learning together- if any schools interested in the programme give Playboard a call!

💛 A Huge Thank You to Our Strangford Alliance Volunteers 💛

Politics is about people, and our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

Whether you’ve been delivering leaflets in all weathers, helping at events, knocking doors, making phone calls, putting up posters, supporting campaigns online, or simply giving your time and energy to help make our community better, your contribution makes a real difference.

The Strangford Association is incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated team of volunteers who care deeply about our local area and share Alliance Party of Northern Ireland vision of a more united, fair and prosperous Northern Ireland.

Every conversation, every leaflet delivered, every hour given helps us connect with residents, listen to their concerns and work for positive change.

Thank you for your commitment, enthusiasm and hard work. Our successes are only possible because of people like you.

We look forward to continuing to work together as we build a better future for everyone across the Strangford constituency.

From all of us in the Strangford Alliance team – thank you. 💛

Great to join Deputy Mayor Cllr Vicky Moore last week at the Ards Battalion Boys’ Brigade Presentation Evening to help celebrate young people achieving their President’s and King’s Badges.

A really positive evening recognising leadership, service, skills and commitment — and a reminder of the important role BB plays in helping young people grow in confidence and character.

As a former BB boy myself, it was particularly special to be there and see the next generation reaching these milestones. Huge congratulations to all of the award recipients, and thanks to the leaders, volunteers and families who support them along the way.
