Would like your opinions on the sizes ? I’m still wondering if the first two eggs belong to the pesky pigeons as the female owl more or less ignored them for a while (pigeons are not hanging about much now)…look at the shape and size …..look forward to your thoughts !

Owl update ! Not quite sure what’s going on !!!
The adults are staying in the box during the day as usual guarding it from pigeons! At night the female stays in while the male hunts, bringing food🐭back regularly! We now have three eggs , she jumped up just enough to have a peep ! Not sure when they were laid as the recording of data is ‘playing up’ It’s all going to be a surprise this year 😊

Update on the owl situation ! This is MY take on it all ! 🦉🦉
For months some pesky pigeons have been producing eggs and hatching them out ….then the owls throw them out of the box as THEY want their home back ! Since the camera has reactivated, we see male & female owl in the box during the day, at night, the male hunts and brings back food for the female, who in turn, guards the box from ‘pigeons taking over again’ !
Looking at past records, the owls have been laying their eggs in May !
Over the past few days I have been chasing off pigeons for the outside of the box, when the owls are sat in there resting !! I do wonder if the two eggs actually belong to the pigeons, and they are trying to get back in the box !
The female doesn’t seem interested in sitting on the eggs, and more should be appeared if they do belong to her…UMMMMM interesting times ahead 😂

‼️‼️After several months of no working camera, pesky pigeons nesting in the owl box (at least three times), no sign of any owls in the yard either…all hope was gone for any more owlets !! BUT………..
😂🦉🦉THIS MORNING WE HAD AN EASTER MIRACLE 🦉🦉😂

A power cut for a few seconds caused the camera to start working again!!
And to my surprise, AND the man in the Dulux Centre at 7am🤣 where I was stood at the time ……I am happy to say to all you Owl Watchers….
THE ADULTS ARE BACK ….AND HAVE TWO EGGS 🦉🦉🥚🥚
Owl watch for year 5 has started !!!

Not quite sure how this owlet did this without its head falling off 🤣They can rotate their heads 270 degrees, which means 135 in each direction ….but this one seems to be doing more 🤣🤣

A lot of head wobbling during the night ! They all go out hunting just after 9pm …and return about 6am ..I wonder how long it will be before they go off on their own adventures 🦉🦉🦉🦉
