Northallerton BID will host its first road closure event of the year on June 28, from 11 AM to 4 PM. The High Street will be closed from Friarage Roundabout to the Romanby Road junction from 6 AM to 6 PM, and Zetland Street will also be closed and pedestrianised.

The purpose of the event is to increase foot traffic in the town, extend dwell time, and enhance consumer spending. We invite any businesses that wish to participate to get in touch with us. Participation could involve setting up a stall, creating a themed experience in your business on the day, or taking advantage of advertising opportunities such as window dressing or special menu items. If you have any ideas for participation, we would love to hear them!

Parking restriction notices will be posted at least seven days prior to the event to inform the public. During the last 1940s event, foot traffic reached over 11,000 in just five hours. We believe this will be a fantastic event, and we hope you enjoy it as well. We welcome any feedback, positive or constructive, after the event, so we can continue to improve.

Additional Flying RAF Leeming 🚁

There will be increased movement by exercising aircraft operating from RAF Leeming from 1-12 June 2026.

The RAF Leeming will be hosting rotary aircraft for events which will include low and night flying.

We understand our responsibility as good neighbours to inform the local community of such events that are additional to our normal flying activities and every effort will be made to keep the disturbance to a minimum.
