Northampton Socialist Students

Northampton Socialist Students We are the Socialist Students Society at the University of Northampton. We played a leading role in the fight against fees and cuts in the last academic year.

Socialist Students is a democratic campaigning organisation with groups in universities and colleges throughout Britain. We say that education is a right not a privilege - no to all cuts, fees and privatisation. As well as this, we campaign on a range of other issues. Racism, sexism, homophobia are all rooted in capitalism and are aimed at dividing ordinary people. We oppose the BNP and EDL, and h

ave been important to organising counter demonstrations when the EDL have marched. We say no to war and imperialist intervention and fight for solidarity between working class and young people across the world. We are active in every struggle possible. We are organised democratically because we think its important to bring together all our members experiences and ideas to offer the movement the best way forward possible. We're socialists because we think that the problems faced by students, workers and all the oppressed have roots in capitalism, and we need to fundamentally transform society so that it is run in the interests of the masses. We hold weekly meetings to discuss the politics of changing the world. Join us and get involved!
