Canons Ashby House Canons Ashby House A welcoming house with a warm atmosphere, Canons Ashby was the family home of the Drydens. We look forward to seeing you.

The Elizabethan manor house was built with stone from the Augustinian priory which originally stood on the site and the medieval church still remains. The rich interior of the house features Jacobean wall paintings, plasterwork and tapestries. The gardens are currently being restored according to Sir Henry Dryden's colourful 19th century designs. The house is being re-presented this winter to tell

the story of the eccentric Henry Dryden. Come and browse in our shop and enjoy home made, local produce in our very popular tearooms. We have a busy and varied events calender throughout the year. Our opening times vary so please check our open days before leaving.
