West Haddon bowls is a sociable and welcoming club as well as a competitive one. So why not pop along for a bit of lawn bowls.

West Haddon bowling Club is a sociable and welcoming club as well as a competitive one. We play friendly mixed (ladies and gentlemen’s) matches on Saturday or Sunday afternoons and also mid week matches throughout the summer. The matches are played alternately, on our home green at West Haddon and away at other local village’s club greens. There is also a Monday evenings men’s triples League.

The lady’s also have their own matches during the week. The outdoor season is from April to September. Special competitions are also played throughout the season, as well as the end of season club finals in September. If you are new to the sport our experienced players will help you get bowling and teach you the techniques and simple rules of Lawn Green Bowls.

Tonight your local bowls club Haddon Bowls Club take on Cogenhoe Bowls Club in the Northants Triples League.

The match starts at 6:30pm and visitors are welcome to come along to watch and support. Refreshments will be available.

When the bowls season starts the club is open every Friday for practice, and non-members are welcome to come along and give it a go.

All equipment and coaching is provided, and there is no charge for the first four sessions.

Our first Men's Triples League home fixture is this Monday, starting at 6:30pm. Why not pop down and support your local club, enjoy the sun and enjoy the evening.

The bowls season has started. The green is open. Friday night practice sessions are back in full swing.

Work continues on and around the green at YOUR local bowls club to get ready for the start of the season, and we hope to bring you news of our annual open day very soon.

If anyone in the area is updating their kitchen West Haddon Bowls Club is looking for a few decent quality used base and wall units with doors, and if possible some worktop.

West Haddon Bowls Club is proud to announce it's first ever shirt sponsor in it's 100+ year history!

A huge thank you to Mark & Gail at The Crown Inn West Haddon for your sponsorship. We will wear your logo with pride on our new, fresh, modern shirts.

This sponsorship follows several years of The Crown putting on the delicious post match food, which all away teams now look forward to (and home players as well of course!). No other league teams we've faced in recent years put on any food at all, so we very lucky to have The Crown looking after us.

Everyone at West Haddon Bowls Club is looking forward to better weather and the start of the 2026 season.

Keep your eyes open for exciting news on the club's first ever shirt sponsor, our new club playing shirt, our 2026 fixtures and other news about the club's long term plans.

If you would like to give bowls a go it's easy. Just contact us through FB or using the contact details on our FB home page, and a club member will get in touch. You won't need any equipment to start with, all tuition is completely free, and we're a very friendly bunch!

If you're a member of a local sports club (football, cricket, tennis etc) and would like to invite your members for a team session of bowls with snacks and a few drinks, we'd love to make that happen.

Winter maintenance is well underway at your local bowls club Haddon Bowls Club . Scarifying, aerating, top dressing and fertilising just some of the many essential tasks to ensure a great green next season.

If you'd like to give bowls a go we have mixed team competing weekly throughout the season, and a team competing on Mondays in the Northants Men's Triples League. Club practice nights are usually Fridays, but there's often members at the green most nights
