Today I had an initial meeting with the Shared Lives team. The Shared Lives scheme supports adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems, or other needs that make it harder for them to live on their own. I have applied to help by providing respite care, making it possible for families (loved ones) to have a short break and know that their loved ones will be safe and cared for. Very much looking forward to continuing with the process, understandably this can take several months. Will keep you posted on progress.
