🌸As a child, Asta Kibelyte learnt about the horrors of nuclear weapons by reading the story of Sadako Sasaki.
🌸Sadako, a young girl who initially survived the attack on Hiroshima, died from nuclear radiation sickness.
🌸Help us build the movement for peace.

🕊️Asta's full story: “I became painfully aware of the horrors and destruction that nuclear weapons bring as a child after reading the heartbreaking story of Sadako Sasaki – a young Japanese girl, survivor of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb attack, who got very ill as a consequence, but still held hope after hearing an old legend, that folding 1000 origami cranes would grant her a wish – to be healthy again… Catastrophically, legend didn’t prove right and Sadako passed away even after folding all the paper cranes… Such devastation should never be allowed to happen, ever – we all should work towards a full and complete nuclear disarmament!”🕊️
