The Summer Reading Challenge is entering its final stages, but there is still time to sign up if you haven't yet, and to complete your reading challenges.
Aimed at pre-schoolers aged 0-4 (mini challenge) and children aged 4-11 (main challenge), the basics are: read 6 books, get stickers! Those doing the mini challenge get a certificate and a gold sticker for finishing, and for the main challenge there's a certificate and a wooden medal. It's free, it's fun, and you've got until the 12th September to finish. Woo!
Speaking of finishing...if you HAVE read all your books , we'd love you to pop in to tell us all about the wonderful books you've been reading, and collect your stickers, certificate and medal.
The Summer Reading Challenge is delivered by The Reading Agency in partnership with libraries and powered by Universal Music Group.

Bereavement Cafe is held every Monday from 5.30 - 6.30, offering mutual support for those suffering from loss.

It was actually almost like a proper cafe yesterday (but free!), thanks to our lovely regular member bakers Annie, Peter and Ros. We can't guarantee such a fabulous spread every week however 😋but we can guarantee a warm welcome and a friendly informal group.

Please get in touch if you'd like to find out more, or just turn up for a chat and a cuppa (and delicious snacks if you time it right!).

Thank you very much indeed to the mystery lady who brought in loads of wool recently for our Knit and Natter group. Dawn has been busy making several lovely blankets from it, which will be sold for charity.
Any spare wool donations are always gratefully received ;)

Wow! Sabrina has been working for many months during Knit and Natter sessions on these absolutely amazing crocheted blankets, all completed this month.
If you fancy a cuppa and a natter with a lively group of very talented makers, and maybe bring along a project of your own, Knit and Natter takes place every Monday from 1-3pm. Just turn up, and it's free!
