We’re glad to see this, today. It comes at an important time locally, with the proposal for the data centre on the outskirts of Norwich.

It's time to put the brakes on data centres.

The Green Party nationally are calling to:

❌ End the blanket 'critical infrastructure' designation.
💧 Highest environmental and community standards for all new data centres.
📋 Create a comprehensive national strategy.

‼️📣 Have your say on the future of Trinity Street Doctor’s Surgery.‼️

‼️There are just 2 days left to complete the consultation on closing Trinity Street Doctor’s Surgery and moving the staff and patients to Bowthorpe.

Please fill in the consultation here:

https://forms.office.com/e/45swsKu4mP

Trinity Street Doctor’s Surgery has been open for a century. It's a vital part of the community.

That's why we want to keep it in use for health, social care and community use.

Cllr Karen Davis and Cllr Maxine Webb have submitted an application to Norwich City Council to make Trinity Street Surgery an Asset of Community Value to protect the building now and in the future.

Thank you again for taking time to give your important feedback by filling in this consultation. 🙏

Norfolk County Council has a gross revenue budget of £2.3billion of public money.

The salary for the new Chief Executive Officer appointed today = £215,000 of public money.

The total time spent interviewing the new CEO before appointing = 1hour 30 minutes.

No psychometric testing
No technical interviews
No presentations
No stakeholder engagement.

Does this sound like a recruitment process that follows due diligence? That is fit for purpose?

We say NO.

Norwich Foodbank is submitting evidence to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) Inquiry on ending the need for food banks.
💚
If you have experience of Universal Credit, you can also submit evidence to the Inquiry.
Deadline for submissions is the 7th September 🛑

We want decision-makers to hear the reality of living on Universal Credit and why support should be based on what people need to afford the essentials.

Learn more and submit evidence here- https://www.trussell.org.uk/our-work/changing-policy/inquiry

We’ve enjoyed getting our thank you leaflet out over the last few weeks. It’s been especially nice having the chance to chat with residents along the way.

Do get in touch with any queries or requests - we’ll also soon be advertising our next councillor surgery and litter pick/ tidy up dates.
