Another super crafting session on Saturday, run by the lovely Harriet. We celebrated David Attenborough's 100th birthday by making our own binocular's to spot the wildlife in our local area. Everyone is welcome to our drop in children's craft sessions which run from 2pm to 3pm every Saturday, and are FREE! We look forward to seeing you in the library πŸ‘‹

Are you aged 13-25? Love to read? Love encouraging OTHERS to read? Then why not try volunteering with us for 'The Reading Agency's Summer Reading Challenge'!

This year the Summer Reading Challenge is called 'Read to the Beat'. We're looking for young volunteers aged 13-25 to get involved, helping sign children up to the challenge, joining in with fun activities and building their own skills. There's still plenty time to get involved - the deadline is Friday 19 June.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, drop us an email at: [email protected] or visit https://tinyurl.com/ye8b9xb8 and we'll send you further information about how you can take part!

The Summer Reading Challenge is produced by The Reading Agency and delivered in partnership with libraries

For the first time ever, all six are available as audiobooks πŸŽ§πŸ“š and they can be streamed on Spotify for free, widening access for people who struggle with print, including those who are time-poor, neurodivergent, lacking confidence in reading or just prefer to listen to books.

However you read or listen, stories are for everyone.

St Williams Way Library will be open as normal to return and collect any reservations. Why not check out our regular events too?

The Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library will be temporarily closing from Monday 27 April until mid-July for an exciting refurbishment! During the closure we will be running a whole host of library events in The Gallery in The Forum. What's more, from Tuesday 5 May we will be hosting a pop-up library in The Forum too! We will have a selection of Millennium Library stock for adults and children, and reservations from other Norfolk libraries will be available to pick up.

Most stock from the Millennium Library will however be put into storage during the refurb - so our advice is this: if you want a book from the Millennium Library, come and borrow one before next Monday! With full membership you can borrow up to 20 books at a time, and we're extending Millennium Library loans until mid-July. So you will have plenty of time to read your books.

(Please note this is just the Millennium Library closing - The Forum itself is separate!)

We will keep you up to date on the refurb here and on the Millennium Library page - thank you for your patience while we give the Millennium Library a much-needed make over!

The library will be staffed from 12pm on Tuesday 31st March as normal.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for continuing to visit us at St. William's Way library.
