Come to the American Library, and read about the celebration food, the history of the event, or some of the key figures behind emancipation!

Over the last few weeks, the American Library have been pleased to attend some of the local base open days. We started by having an awesome day at Seething Control Tower and then had two teams at Hethel and Attlebridge. We thank everyone who came to see us, and we are only just getting started with many more events we plan to get to!

The American Library was honoured to attend this year's Memorial Day Service at Cambridge American Cemetery. Volunteer, Researcher and Library Information Assistant Toby Ives Coleman laid the wreath on behalf of the 2nd Air Division Memorial Trust.

Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library - Temporary Closure Information.

The Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library will be temporarily closed until mid-July, while they carry out an exciting refurbishment – the biggest upgrade since the library opened 25 years ago inside The Forum, Norwich.

During this closure, the American Library will still be open on a limited basis from 10am-5pm Monday-Friday (Saturdays variable) with no PC availability. Access to the American Library will be via an alternate external entrance of The Forum: please ask staff, email us at [email protected] or call us on 01603 774747 for more information.

A huge thank you to Whitwell And Reepham Station for letting us hooligans hang out and spread the word about the American Library at your 1940s weekend! We had a blast! As it gets closer to summer keep your eyes open for the American Library stall at open days on the old American Bases and 1940s events in Norfolk.
