It's Volunteers' Week, and we want to say thank you to our amazing volunteers!

1-7 June is , and to celebrate we are saying the biggest THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers, who help us make our libraries the very best they can be!

We have volunteers who help maintain community gardens, host Bereavement Cafes, run Bounce & Rhymes, sing songs for people with dementia, offer IT and digital skills assistance - and SO much more. We even have younger volunteers in over the summer, helping sign children up to the Summer Reading Challenge.

The library will be shut on the Monday coming for the bank holiday! (This will include Open Library). We will be open as normal again on Tuesday.

Our Just a Cuppa group have finished their jigsaw puzzle!

We are always looking for new people to join, so if you fancy popping in, Just a Cuppa is on Friday afternoons from 2pm to 3:30pm!

Due to volunteer unavailability, Just a Cuppa will not be running this week. It will be back at it's usual time next week.

Brandy the PAT dog will be making his next visit tomorrow, at his usual time of 3pm to 4pm! Come and give him some attention!

💜💜 Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 11–17 May 2026. 💜💜

It encourages people across the UK to talk openly about mental health and support wellbeing in their communities.

This year’s theme is "Action" and reminds us that even small acts of support and kindness can make such a difference. We can take positive steps for ourselves and for others.

We have a great selection of books, both fiction and non-fiction for you to borrow. 🥰
