Norfolk Care Careers has commissioned Training in Healthcare to deliver a new Dementia Communication Champions Programme pilot.

The programme is designed to support health and social care staff to build confidence, improve communication and enhance the experience of people living with dementia.

๐Ÿ“ The programme will take place across Norfolk on multiple dates in 2026โ€“2027 and is fully funded for all adult social care providers across the county.

๐ŸŽ“ Learners will enjoy a full day of face-to-face training, earning a certificate, a pin badge and access to a CPD Network.

This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and help improve outcomes for people living with dementia.

The Training2Care Virtual Dementia Tour Bus is coming to Norwich on 28 July, offering an immersive and interactive learning experience for the Norfolk and Waveney Adult Social Care workforce ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’™

Using sensory and deprivation aids, this powerful hands-on session helps participants experience some of the challenges faced by people living with dementia. It provides valuable insight into behaviours, needs and the lived experience of dementia, helping to strengthen understanding and improve care practice.

โœจ We strongly encourage all providers to take advantage of this opportunity to build empathy, enhance practice and improve the quality of dementia care across our region.

The dementia bus is at The Forum in today. We started early as there was so much interest in the experience! It's drop in until 4:10pm but we will be here until 4:30pm to talk to.

Did you know that 1 in 3 people are projected to be affected by dementia during their lifetime?

This free event offers a valuable opportunity to learn more about dementia, gain a better understanding of the challenges people living with dementia face, and discover how we can all provide better support to those around us now and in the future.





The Training2Care Virtual Dementia Tour Bus is an immersive, scientifically proven experiential training programme that simulates the physical and mental challenges of living with dementia, helping participants develop greater empathy and understanding.

Commissioned by Norfolk Care Careers, support and information will be available throughout the day, with experts on hand to answer your questions.



We encourage anyone interested in learning more about dementia and supporting their community to come along.
