This lovely photo was taken by Mark who is joining the St Benet's Abbey Volunteer Guides this season. The Archives of St Benet’s Abbey📜. Looking back at historic images lets us see how our sites have evolved or, in this case, how beautifully unchanged they’ve remained. This is also a reminder of how far our understanding of heritage protection has come (we definitely wouldn’t be sitting on the Gatehouse today)

Thanks to modern conservation laws, sites like St Benet’s Abbey can be preserved and respected for generations to come. Come and experience St Benet’s Abbey in all its timeless glory today!
