This lovely photo was taken by Mark who is joining the St Benet's Abbey Volunteer Guides this season. There is just one spot on the path from Ludham Bridge to St Benet's Abbey where the cross is perfectly framed in the gatehouse archway. See if you can work out where that spot is if you get a chance to walk the path yourself.

The Archives of St Benet’s Abbey📜. Looking back at historic images lets us see how our sites have evolved or, in this case, how beautifully unchanged they’ve remained. This is also a reminder of how far our understanding of heritage protection has come (we definitely wouldn’t be sitting on the Gatehouse today)

It was so lovely to see St Benet's Abbey mill & gatehouse as the chosen picture on the BBC weather after the 10pm news last evening, even if it was of puddles and grey, rainy weather.
