🫏 Miniature Donkey Meet & Greets – a few spaces left! 🫏

We have very limited availability this Saturday (15th), but still have a few slots available this Friday (14th) for our Miniature Donkey Meet & Greets! 🤎

Come and spend some time with our lovely little herd, including meeting our newest arrival, baby Orla 🥹🫏 and pigs Betty, Penelope and mum pig!🐽

Our adult-only sessions are already sold out – apologies to anyone who missed out! If Friday fills up, I’ll do my best to add an extra slot where I can.

I’m also hoping to squeeze in one more Meet & Greet date in September before we close until our Christmas events, although I can’t guarantee this just yet.

Thank you so much for bearing with us while we find our feet after opening for visits. We’ve had such amazing feedback so far and I’ve genuinely been blown away by all your support. 🤎

Birthday parties with the donkeys are now available! 🐴🎈

After lots of lovely enquiries, I decided to do a little tester party — and it went really well — so I’m now officially offering children’s birthday parties at The Wee Donkey Company.

Expect a fun, hands-on party with our miniature donkeys, including grooming, donkey-safe glittery hoof conditioner, bows and clips, a little donkey walk, Donkey Deli treat time, and a visit to our friendly rescue pigs.

Parties include exclusive use of the donkey experience and covered party space, with the option to bring your own food or add children’s lunch boxes.

I haven’t quite had chance to get everything onto the website yet, but the brochure is ready now and it’ll hopefully be added online over the next couple of weeks.

If you’d like the brochure or want to check a date, just email/message me and I’ll send over all the details.

Private small-group birthday visits are also available if you’d prefer something smaller and simpler.

There won’t be any hands-on donkey experiences tomorrow, but if you’ve been meaning to see what we’re all about, come and say hello! The shop will be open, we’re around for a chat, and there’ll be pig food available to purchase if you’d like to feed the pigs. 🐷

🤎 Bookings are now LIVE for this Saturday (4th July)🫏✨

We’re so excited to launch our brand new Mini Donkey Experiences at The Wee Donkey Company!

Spend quality time grooming our miniature donkeys, meet baby Orla and Tallulah, feed our friendly mini pigs, and enjoy some time in our peaceful surroundings.

✨ Your experience includes:
🫏 20 minutes with our miniature donkeys
🤎 Grooming Bluebell, Windy & Ginger
🍼 Meeting baby Orla and Tallulah
🐷 A pot of food to feed our mini pigs
👥 Small groups (maximum of 6 participants)

After your session, you’re welcome to stay a little longer, browse our little shop, enjoy a hot drink and delicious sweet treats from local baker Courtney Bakes, play Pin the Tail on Bluebell, or write a letter for the Wee Donkey Post.

🌿 Family sessions and adult-only sessions are both available, because you’re never too old for donkey cuddles!

✨ They’re finally here… 🫏

I’m so excited to be launching our brand new Mini Donkey Experiences this Saturday (4th July)!

These will be relaxed, small-group sessions where you’ll get to:
🪮 Groom our miniature donkeys
🩷 Meet baby Orla
🐷 Feed the pigs

😍 Subscribers and adopters will receive first access to bookings tomorrow.

🌿 Bookings will then open on the website on Wednesday

With the temperatures soaring, we thought we’d share a little about how our donkeys and pigs are coping with the heat. ☀️

Although donkeys are naturally adapted to warmer climates, they’re not used to UK heatwaves either, so they still need plenty of shade, fresh water and a few extra precautions to keep them comfortable. ❤️

The pigs, on the other hand… well, they’re definitely not fans! Mud, shade and lots of naps are the order of the day.

✨ OPENING DAY – TOMORROW ✨

Our adoption visits officially begin tomorrow 🥹 and I can’t wait for you all to finally meet the donkeys properly.

Because so many of you have been in touch about adoptions, I’ll also be running something a little extra alongside them…

🐴 Meet & Groom with Ginger & Windy
⏰ 12–3pm
📍 Nottingham Road, Trowell Moor

Come and spend some time with them in the pen, give them a gentle groom and get to know them 💛 sessions last approx 15 mins (or whenever you’ve had enough brushing!) your welcome stay longer and enjoy the views and a giant pin on the tail on bluebell game 😁 

💷 £5 per person 
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 supervising adults free
📲 Booking only – just message me to get booked in
🤍 Adopters can use their discount

We’ll also have our last 10 adoption packs available on the day ✨
You’ll be able to choose your own gift to go inside and have it made up there and then.
