Thank you so much to everyone who has visited us this year, supported our little business and, most importantly, given our donkeys lots of love (and treats!) along the way.

We’re now closed throughout October while we get everything ready for our first ever Christmas with the Donkeys 🎄🫏✨

A few lovely moments from the past week at The Wee Donkey Company 🫏💛

We’ve had meet-and-greets, adoption visits, private visits and birthday parties — we’re really getting into the swing of those now! Orla had a bit of trailer training too, and hopped straight in after about five seconds. Very proud of her 🥹

Thank you to everyone who sent these photos in! If anyone has any more, please send them my way. My phone was needed by the lovely Tess, who was holding the fort in the café and shop after our system decided to completely break 😂

This Sunday (27th September)at The Wee Donkey Company 🫏🤎

I’d originally kept this Sunday free just in case I needed the day to rearrange any visits cancelled due to bad weather — but luckily we’ve been pretty lucky! ☀️

So I’ve opened up a few Meet & Greet sessions for the morning and over lunchtime, which are available to book now through the website. https://www.theweedonkeycompany.co.uk/services-4-1

Then from 1–3pm we’ll be open for drop-ins.Pop in for a selection of hot or cold drinks and a brownie, enjoy the views, have a browse around the little shop, find out about Christmas events, adoption packs etc and head over to feed the pigs too 🐷

Please note, there won’t be any hands-on donkey experiences during the drop-in afternoon. 🫏

Here are a few lovely shots from some of our recent visits with the donkeys 🫏🤎

We can’t quite believe we’re nearly at the end of our season already!

Our final Meet & Greet before we close for the season is next Saturday, 19th September, and we only have a few spaces left.

Come along, meet the donkeys, enjoy some hands-on donkey time and, of course, say hello to our gorgeous little Orla too 🥰

If you’d prefer a little more time with the donkeys, we also still have some Friday availability for Private Visits before the end of the season.

🫏 Miniature Donkey Meet & Greets – a few spaces left! 🫏

We have very limited availability this Saturday (15th), but still have a few slots available this Friday (14th) for our Miniature Donkey Meet & Greets! 🤎

Come and spend some time with our lovely little herd, including meeting our newest arrival, baby Orla 🥹🫏 and pigs Betty, Penelope and mum pig!🐽

Our adult-only sessions are already sold out – apologies to anyone who missed out! If Friday fills up, I’ll do my best to add an extra slot where I can.

I’m also hoping to squeeze in one more Meet & Greet date in September before we close until our Christmas events, although I can’t guarantee this just yet.

Thank you so much for bearing with us while we find our feet after opening for visits. We’ve had such amazing feedback so far and I’ve genuinely been blown away by all your support. 🤎

Birthday parties with the donkeys are now available! 🐴🎈

After lots of lovely enquiries, I decided to do a little tester party — and it went really well — so I’m now officially offering children’s birthday parties at The Wee Donkey Company.

Expect a fun, hands-on party with our miniature donkeys, including grooming, donkey-safe glittery hoof conditioner, bows and clips, a little donkey walk, Donkey Deli treat time, and a visit to our friendly rescue pigs.

Parties include exclusive use of the donkey experience and covered party space, with the option to bring your own food or add children’s lunch boxes.

I haven’t quite had chance to get everything onto the website yet, but the brochure is ready now and it’ll hopefully be added online over the next couple of weeks.

If you’d like the brochure or want to check a date, just email/message me and I’ll send over all the details.

Private small-group birthday visits are also available if you’d prefer something smaller and simpler.

We’re open tomorrow from 12pm–2pm for coffee, drinks and delicious homemade cakes by Courtneysbakes . ☕🧁

There won’t be any hands-on donkey experiences tomorrow, but if you’ve been meaning to see what we’re all about, come and say hello! The shop will be open, we’re around for a chat, and there’ll be pig food available to purchase if you’d like to feed the pigs. 🐷
