From losing his home overnight to building a new future, AH’s journey shows the lasting impact of YMCA Supported Housing 🩵

Skills Clinic Spotlight - Skateboarding!🛹

Hear from Kev, one of our Nottingham Skills Clinic Leaders, as he shows what campers aged 8+ can learn - from balance and board control to building confidence one push at a time.

Skill Clinics help young people develop new skills and grow their hobbies throughout the week, and skateboarding is always a favourite.

Week 2 at Camp Williams has been a hot one at The Becket School ☀️

We’ve been making the most of the sunshine with outdoor activities, plenty of laughter and the ultimate cool‑down… a camp‑wide water fight! 💦

Our theme was Disco Fever, and campers got stuck into sessions inspired by all things glitter and good vibes.

Do you love fixing things, getting stuck into practical jobs and making sure properties are safe, well maintained and welcoming? We’re looking for two talented people to join our team at YMCA Mansfield.

🏠 Maintenance Handyperson
A great opportunity for someone with a broad range of practical skills and a passion for DIY. From plumbing, painting and gardening to general repairs and maintenance, you’ll help keep our properties across Nottinghamshire in great shape.

🔧 Maintenance Joiner/Handyperson
For an experienced joiner/carpenter looking to put their skills to work, this role focuses on carpentry and joinery alongside wider maintenance tasks across our properties in Mansfield, Ashfield and Worksop.

💡 No formal qualifications for the Handyperson role? No problem! If you’re practical, keen to learn and have skills you’ve picked up yourself, we can provide training and support to help you build your career.

Both are full-time, permanent positions, and you’ll be provided with a fleet vehicle and the tools you need to do the job.
