We're looking for volunteers to help with this year's Summer Reading Challenge!

Every year all Inspire libraries take part in the national Summer Reading Challenge. Children aged 4 – 11 are challenged to read six books over the summer.

We are looking for volunteers aged 14+ here at Beeston Library to encourage children to join and complete the Challenge, explain to them (and their parents and carers) how it works, talk enthusiastically with them about the books they have read, and help them to choose new ones!

Volunteers will need to be free for a two/three hour session per week during the six week school holidays.

Up to the challenge, or know someone who might be? Find out more and apply on our Community Makers website: https://inspireculture.volunteermakers.org/get-involved/summer-reading-challenge/beestonlibrarysummerreadingchallenge2026/387/
