At the last parish council meeting a question was asked by a local resident about the damage to the trees, bollards and gates by the electric sub station on Birmingham Road. I have been in contact with National Grid who say they have the repairs in hand. They are waiting for contractors to repair the fence and gate but could not give me a date for completion. When National Grid have completed their work the parish council will replace the bollards & the trees.

πŸ“’ Update on Picnic in the Park 2026

Ansley Parish Council would like to let residents know that we will not be going ahead with the Picnic in the Park event this year. Unfortunately, we do not have enough volunteers available to organise it and the timing clashes with several other local and national events.

We are hoping to organise the next Picnic in the Park in 2027. To make this possible, we will need support from local residents β€” to help plan the event, to assist on the day and with fundraising.

We are very sorry for any disappointment this may cause, but given the circumstances, postponing is the only realistic option for this year. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to working with the community to bring the event back in 2027

15/11/2025

The meeting called by Ansley Parish Council for Speed Calming Measures for Ansley Village, Ansley Common & Birchley Heath was well attended despite the weather. Our local MP Jodie Gosling, Borough Councillor Michaela Jackson & Borough Councillor Katie Hobley and all Parish Councillors attended along with residents who were allowed to air their comments/feelings on measures they felt they wanted Warwickshire County Council to act upon. The meeting ended with conclusions that we would ask people to sign up to be part of a Working Party, who would work out an Action Plan on the way forward - or for residents to Volunteer for a Speed Watch - also residents could sign the Road Safety Petition and Ansley Parish Council would also carry out a survey of all residents for their views on traffic calming.
Everyone was thanked for turning out and sharing their concerns.
More updates will follow.
