Children at True Vine Primary School, Bakka, Uganda. Work has now begun on the infrastructure for a senior school, funded by Aim for Change. The new school will enable all children, including the orphans, at the Primary School to continue their education.

Two recent beneficiaries of donations received at Christmas to purchase a sewing machine and a bicycle for people supported by Aim for Change in Uganda. Thank you to everyone who donated to our Spare-A-Meal Appeal or to purchase specific items for our projects in Uganda and Pakistan.

What a fantastic visit we had to our projects in Uganda a couple of months ago! We distributed lots of blankets, jumpers and hats for babies, kindly knitted and donated, many by Inner Wheel Market Bosworth and some by individual supporters. Eliot, one of our sponsored young people, (formerly a street child) is now awaiting his graduation and looking for employment. He told us he is "proud to be a product of Aim for Change!" We were delighted to see all the developments at Bakka School, which has such a good reputation, it is attracting pupils not just locally but also from other regions of Uganda, who board at the school.
Wonderful to see what is being achieved through Aim for Change, with the support and prayers of all our supporters. Thank you so much!

Construction of the new kindergarten and school admin block at Bakka School is now complete and the buildings have been painted. The classroom has been equipped with desks and benches, with donations made in memory of Pat Cooling, a long-time friend and supporter of Aim for Change. Thank you to everyone who has helped to make this possible.

Work is progressing well on the construction of a new kindergarten and office building for the school in Bakka, Uganda. Children and staff are excited to move into the new buildings when the work is completed. Many thanks to everyone who has supported this project.

Last week friends of the charity, who were travelling to Pakistan, kindly took items donated to Aim for Change. These included medical equipment from Market Bosworth and Newbold Verdon Surgeries, knitted items from Inner Wheel and individual supporters, and educational stationery from the British Legion.
John, who oversees the charity's work in Pakistan, along with his son and youngest daughter, met Rosi and Stuart to receive the items and also a gift of money, which will be used towards an outing for the orphanage children during the school holidays. Thank you to everyone who donated items and to Rosi and Stuart for taking them to Pakistan.

Last week, a beech tree was planted in Market Bosworth Country Park to commemorate the 20th anniversary of local charity, Aim for Change. Robert Leake, a Trustee of the charity, was there to help with the planting. A commemorative plaque will be added in due course. Aim for Change works in mainly rural areas of Uganda and Pakistan to support vulnerable children and families, providing education, healthcare and self-sufficiency. Aim for Change has provided many trees (mainly fruit trees) for families and communities in Uganda over the past 20 years, donated by our supporters, so it seems fitting to mark the charity's 20th anniversary by planting a tree in our local community.

How fantastic to see one of our sponsored young people, Eliot, (formerly a street child in Uganda) graduating in Clinical Medicine. This young man has worked so hard and shown great perseverance to succeed and is determined to use his skills and knowledge to make a difference for the community in which he lives. Congratulations Eliot! And huge thanks to those who have sponsored him throughout his education.
