Planning Appeal Notice - Barn Fishery

An appeal relating to Barn Fishery, against both the Enforcement Notice and the refusal of planning permission, are due to be considered by the Planning Inspectorate on Tuesday 4 August (10.00am start Committee Room A) and Wednesday 5 August 2026.

Members of the public are more than welcome to attend and can raise comments and representations in respect of the site.

The hearing is open to the public and is in the Civic Suite (Committee Room A) @ the Council Offices.

The appeal relates to the following applications and appeal against an enforcement notice.

PAP/2025/0530 – 6 pitches - Barn Fisheries
PAP/2024/0186 – 4 pitches – paddock to north east

The appeal proceedings will provide an opportunity for all parties to present their evidence before an Inspector, who will then consider the merits of the case and issue a decision.

Whilst the exact timetable remains a matter for the Planning Inspectorate, it is anticipated that a decision will be issued within 5 weeks following the appeal proceedings.

Their aim is to create a welcoming, friendly space where people can come together to make, mend, learn new skills, share ideas and enjoy good company. More than just a workshop, it's a place to build friendships, support the local community, reduce loneliness and have fun while making a real difference. Everyone is welcome – no experience needed, just a willingness to get involved!

Local Plan drop-in session coming to Hartshill

Residents are invited to attend our Local Plan drop-in information session at Hartshill Community Centre Hall on Thursday 23 July, from 10am to 12pm.

The session is an opportunity to find out more about the Local Plan consultation, speak with Council officers and ask any questions you may have.

This is one of a series of drop-in sessions taking place across North Warwickshire during July, with further opportunities planned.
