Can you help us support a fantastic community club in Nuneaton?💛

This June Society volunteers are rolling up their sleeves at The Windmill in Nuneaton, tidying, painting, gardening, reupholstering and generally refreshing things, to give this much-loved hub of the community a refresh and new lease of life.💫

📆We will be there daily for two weeks starting on 15 June.

We would love to carry out some more specific refurbishment work to make even more of an impact, however there are jobs that require skills outside of our abilities and materials we don’t yet possess.

📣Can you help or do you know someone who can?

Do you have the skills or any materials that would help us complete our work at this fantastic facility for local people? 🙌

We’re looking for:

• Carpenters
• Gardeners
• General handymen
• Reupholstering skills
• Doors for toilet areas
• Paint
• Blinds

🦑 🐟 We just missed the rain today!

It’s been lovely and warm and we’ve had so much fun exploring the blue jelly with hidden sea creatures.

We’ve been getting messy with the blue gloop and fishing out the sharks 🦈

And we made jelly fish collages 🪼

🌱🌱 Tomorrow’s last session for Going On a Bear Hunt and trying out our fantastic sensory walk.

Tomorrow we’ll be making tea in the mud kitchen for the teddy bears picnic 🧺

Teddy bear 🧸 picnic and a bear 🐻 hunt!

🥪 We’ve made sandwiches for our Teddy bear picnic 🧺

We’ve swished through the long wavy grass, through the deep cold river, through the thick oozy mud, a big dark forest and a snow storm! All on our home made sensory tray walk. 🌳 ❄️

We made bear 🐻 masks and served the teddy bears 🧸 tea ☕️ in our small world picnic area.

Iced drinks and plenty of fruit throughout to keep everyone hydrated! The strawberry 🍓 and raspberry’s went down particularly well today.

Join us again Friday for another sandwich making, messy walking, teddy bear painting morning in the shade.

This week you can creat your own picnic sandwiches in the kitchen using playdough (for the bread), tomatoes, 🥬 lettuce and cucumber 🥒

🌳 💧 ❄️ Try out our sensory walk and go through the grass, the river, the mud, the snow and the forest.

Make your own bear footprints 🐾

Explore a mini outdoor picnic scene in our small world. 🧸 🧺
