Did you know asthma is one of the most common long term health conditions in childhood and affects one in 11 children in the United Kingdom.

Huge congratulations to Corpus Christi Primary School for being the first in to achieve friendly statusπŸ‘

Victoria Abbott, asthma nurse specialist said: β€œ The changes the school have put in place mean children with asthma can feel safer, take part in school life more easily, and get the help they need when they need it. The staff have been amazing and their hard work will really benefit the children every day.”

We have now introduced body-worn cameras across all four of our hospitals in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford to help protect our colleagues, patients and visitors.

These cameras are a key part of our commitment to building a culture where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.

Unwanted and abusive behaviours have no place in our Trust. We expect everyone to be considerate and respectful of each other’s different lived experiences.

The cameras will be worn by designated clinical staff and activated only if a colleague feels threatened and only after informing the individual involved. They provide a clear and objective record to support investigations and, where necessary, legal action.

Most importantly, this is about creating a safer, calmer and more respectful environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
