Great to have attended Chadderton Town Hall for the announcement of the successful community groups for the Community Regeneration Partnership Capital Grants Programme - especially those from Medlock Vale 👏

It was fantastic to see local groups from our community securing funding to deliver real, positive change right here in Medlock Vale.

These projects will help improve our neighbourhoods, create safer and more welcoming spaces, and bring residents together — exactly what our community is all about.

A huge congratulations to all the Medlock Vale groups who were successful — your hard work and dedication to the area truly deserves recognition 🙌

We’re looking forward to seeing these projects come to life and the lasting impact they’ll have for local residents.

The Labour government is investing £18m to restore playgrounds in some of the areas across the country that need it the most, including Oldham!

This is the difference a Labour government makes - whilst Rishi Sunak bragged about taking money away from places like Oldham, Labour is investing in our communities.

Council teams have successfully cleared the tree stump from the fallen tree! 🌳

Shoutout to the Oldham Council Environments and Highways teams for clearing this forgotten tree stump and repairing the pavement! The tree fell during Storm Claudia, and while most of it was removed, the stump was left behind until now. 🙌
